Meet Our Pastor
Rev. Debora Shinhoster Richards
Pastor Debora is a native of Savannah, GA, where she attended public schools and graduated from Sol. C. Johnson High School. She also graduated from Valdosta State University and Gammon Seminary at The Interdenominational Theological Center.
She is married to Leonard Richards. They have three adult children and seven grandchildren. Debora enjoys spending time with the family, playing scrabble, traveling, and bike riding.
Pastor Debora is a commissioned Provisional Elder in the South Georgia Annual Conference, where she has served for the last ten years. As pastor of Speedwell UMC, “She is delighted to serve this congregation, as we make disciples for Jesus Christ.” Debora’s motto is “Love God, Love the People, and Love the Community.”
